Heir to the Empire, according to a rumour, is the working title for Dave Filoni’s future Star Wars film.
We don’t take this rumour as gospel, but it does present an opportunity to discuss Heir to the Empire’s past and what it might imply for the Star Wars universe’s future. This rumour originates from the Twitter account MyTimeToShineHello.
Heir to the Empire plot summary
The conflict for dominance in the galaxy following the death of the Emperor was the subject of Heir to the Empire. Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, and Thrawn are courting Talon Karrde, a sort of pirate monarch, to join them as an ally. Karrde’s followers abducted Luke in the interim, which prompted Thrawn to attack everyone.
Heir to the Empire Characters and Cast
Former Hand of the Emperor Mara Jade, who later becomes Luke Skywalker’s wife, pursues him in Zahn’s Heir to the Empire novel. One of Thrawn’s supporters, Joruus C’baoth, is intrigued by the news that Han Solo and Princess Leia are having twins and intends to teach the kids about the Dark Side. Dark Jedi C’baoth is a clone of the same-named former Jedi master. In exchange for C’baoth’s use of his combat meditation abilities, Thrawn consents to hand over the Solo twins. However, C’baoth is plotting in secret to topple Thrawn, who has him detained in the secluded Mount Tantis.
There is already a connection because Dr. Royce Hemlock utilised Mount Tantis as his cloning lab in Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Additionally, there are rumours that Joruus C’baoth may be the orange lightsaber-wielding force user Ray Stevenson is portraying in the Ahsoka video. It is uncertain if this is the genuine Jedi master or a dark clone.
But if an Heir to the Empire movie were to be made, would it have characters from the original trilogy like Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and Lando Calrissian like it did in the book? They are the key protagonists in Zahn’s book, although Disney is less likely to adapt these ideas given that it has already incorporated characters like Thrawn into the main Star Wars universe. Additionally, there are contradictory rumours regarding whether these characters will play major roles in the Filoniverse or simply make cameo appearances.
