Intro:
Since the release of the first Equalizer in 2014 there is a lingering question that whether Denzel Washington movies Equalizer 3 is scheduled to release or not, viewers hoped for a series. And Sony did not disappoint. With a new trailer drop on the 26th of April. The Equalizer 3 is set to launch on 9.1.2023. So September 1st is when this action-packed movie will be released.
The Equalizer is a movie about a retired CIA agent (Denzel Washington) who uses his skills to help people in need.
Dakota and Denzel, 19 years after the movie ‘Man on Fire’ was released we get a glimpse of Dakota Fanning and Denzel Washington together in the new Equalizer 3 Trailer. We get a scene where both are sitting in a street cafe in a conversation, the most probable guess would be that ex-CIA(Denzel) seeking help from a currently employed agent(Dakota).
Gosh… this brings back memories from the time when both actors were together in the movie ‘Man on Fire’. How time flies. A sense of nostalgia for movie enthusiasts who enjoy watching movies of this genre.

Robert Mcall (Denzel Washington) an ex-CIA agent finds himself in a dangerous situation(as usual). This time we get to see Robert Mcall in Italy. Judging by the street cafes majority of the movie is shot in Italy. Where he is caught in the dangerous world of the underground mafia. In the trailer, we also get to see Denzel’s iconic one-liners.
The calm and focused look even under extreme pressure situations, is what grasps the viewer’s attention, The action sequence looks absolutely amazing. Equalizer 3 has raised the bar and expectations even more.
The Equalizer series:
The Equalizer 3 dubbed as the Final chapter is the 3rd movie in the list of movies, the 1st Equalizer was released in 2014 and The Equalizer 2 was released back in 2018. Now we are anticipating the new part to come out during the Fall of 2023 in the Month of September.
Dakota Fanning and Denzel Washington history:
Man on Fire, The first time when these two actors were in a movie together. Dakota was only 9 years of age at the time the movie was shot. Roger Ebert wrote that Fanning “is a pro at only ten years old, and creates a heart-winning character.” Both had a special bond where the young actress was a perfect match for the veteran actor and performed even better than most second actors in my opinion.
Now after 19 years, Sony Pictures Releasing catches us off guard by casting them both in a movie together. This is what we call a pleasant surprise and a blessing in disguise.

He checks his watch as part of his routine which helps him maintain his sense of discipline even though he is retired now. They say old habits die hard.
The watch serves as a way to reinforce McCall’s character traits of discipline, organization, and commitment to helping others.
